Local 5027

The Local 5027 is the local chapter of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters (TSAFF). This association is made of the men and women of the Aubrey Fire Department.

The IAFF is a 310,000 member trade union protecting and advancing the interests of career firefighters and fire-based paramedics in the United States and Canada. With over 3,300 local affiliates, the IAFF represents over 85% of professional firefighters and fire-based paramedics.

The Texas State Association of Fire Fighters was established in 1938 and it is Texas’s only professional, career firefighters organization, representing over 17,000 fire fighter members and 173 affiliate locals. We are affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).

The TSAFF Constitution and by-laws state that: “the objectives of this Association shall be to unify Texas Professional Fire Fighters, to promote their interest, to pass legislation in their behalf, defeat legislation harmful to them, to provide necessary services to member locals and to establish the right of every Texas Professional Fire Fighter to bargain collectively and work under a contract.”
